Naked Marquee in Rural Wales
Ed & Abi
2020 March 18

The term naked marquee wasn't as common to me in a wedding scenario as say a “naked tipi”, however when Abi and Ed approached us to discuss what they wanted from their wedding reception, we were only too happy to help and with the planning.
The “naked” aspect is taken from the fact that there are no internal linings in the marquee. Traditionally a wedding marquee would have a pleated or straight lining to cover up the outer frame and external coverings, but not on this occasion.

The rustic theme complimented the naked marquee style perfectly. The coir matting flooring with oak trestle tables and natural wooden chairs gave an earthy and countryside feel to the layout. Silver birch trees lined the centre of the marquee with hanging boxes suspend above the tables to provide space for tea lights and flower decorations.
A homemade pallet bar was erected to serve the drinks from at one end of the marquee with an oak parquet dance floor underneath clear roofs at the other end to bring more of the outdoors in. To finish, festoon lighting provided a subtle yet pleasant warm light to see the wedding reception into the evening and beyond.

Thank you so much for the service you provided throughout our wedding planning process. The marquee and furniture worked fantastic
