Set just outside of the village of Ewyas Harold, this Herefordshire wedding marquee had stunning views across the Golden Valley towards the Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains.

The orientation of the marquee was situated so that we could maximise the views for guests both inside and outside of the wedding marquee. This was achieved by adding panoramic window walls as well as panoramic roof panels in the centre of the marquee.

The exterior to the marquee was bordered with festoon lighting and floral displays to guide the guests from the car park to the main entrance. This informal walkway ensured the guests were led around the marquee to be greeted by the views of the distant hills.

The entrance into the marquee lead into an intimate and relaxed reception area which was the ideal space to house the gift table and seating plan. This smaller space was a scaled-down version of the much larger dining and entertainment space in the main marquee. From here, guests could either go directly to the bar or move further into the dining area to take their seats for the wedding breakfast.

When inviting a large number of dining guests, it’s important for everyone to feel as close to the top table as possible. Opting for a central top table allowed for the guests to be separated equally whilst keeping the centre of the marquee the main focus.

The addition of the stage and central dance floor ensured that this theme extended into the evening when the entertainment began. The large clear roof section of the marquee helped to emphasise this area, especially in the evening when the change of lighting transformed the mood of the space.

The classic Ivory linings combined with the more modern panoramic sections of the wedding marquee gave the perfect contrast to the reception. Not only in design but to maximise the light and views offered by the location.

As daylight faded, the vintage chandeliers, fairy lights, and mood lighting gave a warm glow and set the scene perfectly for the evenings' celebrations.
