A Brecon Wedding Marquee Tale: Unforgettable Umbrellas at the Farm.
Wedding Marquee - Brecon - Powys
114 Seated Guests - Approximately 250 Total in Attendance
Set just north of the market town of Brecon, this beautiful location for Abby and Matt's wedding marquee had amazing views from the farm back across the valley towards the backdrop of Pen-y-Fan.
The sweeping views from this wedding reception were one of the main focal points when discussing the positioning of the marquee. The panoramic windows walls combined with the panoramic gable behind the dance floor maximised the views for guests during the day.
The interior of the marquee was traditionally lined with neutral ivory linings on both the walls and roof space. Ivory distressed chandeliers along with warm white fairy lights were also suspended from the ceiling to provide an inviting and warming glow for the evening celebrations.
The client moved away from adding flowers as an additional dressing for the roof and instead opted for umbrellas which looked really unique and gave the space their own personal touch.
The layout of this marquee had a few factors to take into considering. The views back towards Brecon and Pen-y-Fan were important to highlight and one of the main features of the backdrop.
Secondly, as the field was slightly sloping away, we had to position the marquee on the flattest part of the field which would aesthetically, be most appealing when approaching the marquee. Thirdly, the bar, catering and entertainment all needed enough space to work in an effective manner.
The individual service areas were allocated so that all aspects of the day could run effortlessly come rain or shine. These were hidden away from guests which allowed the rest of the site to be allocated to guests so they could relax, play and take uninterrupted photos of the gorgeous landscape Brecon has to offer.
